About AcREM-STEM

The Advanced Centre for Regenerative Medicine & Stem Cell Research in Cutaneous Biology (AcREM-STEM) is a premier research centre functioning under the Department of Zoology, University of Kerala, located at the Kariavattom Campus. The centre is dedicated to advancing cutting-edge research, advanced academic training, and translational innovation in regenerative and cutaneous biology.

AcREM-STEM focuses on interdisciplinary research spanning regenerative medicine, stem cell biology, skin and hair biology, healthy ageing, cancer biology, Ayurvedic biology, cutaneous microbiome studies, and integrative life sciences. The centre brings together expertise from cell biology, molecular biology, biomaterials, genomics, biomedical sciences, and alternative animal model systems to address complex biological and clinical challenges.
